Vinyl Stickers
1. Surface Preparation: Clean the surface thoroughly with soap and water or rubbing alcohol to remove any dirt, dust, or grease. Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying the decal.
2. Decal Preparation: Carefully peel away the backing paper from the decal, making sure the decal itself remains attached to the transfer tape. If any part of the decal lifts with the backing paper, gently press it back down and rub over it again with the squeegee.
3. Applying the Decal: Position the decal on the desired surface, using masking tape to help with alignment if needed.
Start from one side and gently lower the decal onto the surface, pressing down with your hand or a squeegee as you go.
Use a squeegee or credit card to smooth out the decal and remove any air bubbles.
4. Removing the Transfer Tape: Once the decal is securely adhered and the air bubbles are removed, slowly peel away the transfer tape at a 45-degree angle.
If any part of the decal lifts with the transfer tape, press it back down and rub over it again.
5. Final Steps: One the transfer tape has been removed check everything looks great and your done.
Heat Transfers
1. Apply the design: Carefully place the HTV design on the fabric, ensuring proper alignment.
2. Protect with a cover sheet: Place a Teflon sheet, parchment paper or a thin tea towel over the HTV to protect it from direct heat and prevent melting or warping.
3. Apply heat and pressure: Use a heat press or iron to apply heat and pressure for between 8 - 10 seconds.
4.Peel the carrier sheet: Once the design has been pressed slowly peel back the clear plastic carrier. Making sure the design has attached to your garment, If it has not repeat the process again for another 2-3 seconds then peel away the clear plastic carrier. You should now have a perfectly pressed design.
Tips for a successful application:
Ensure even pressure: Apply even pressure across the entire design when using a heat press or iron.
Aftercare: Do not wash your garment for 24/48hrs after pressing, do not tumble dry, hang after each wash. This will give you a long lasting design.
