Hints & Tips for a Perfect Finish

  • Clean, Non-Greasy Walls: Thoroughly wipe down your wall with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust, dirt, and oils. Vinyl sticks best to smooth, dry, and non-greasy surfaces.

  • Avoid Freshly Painted Walls: Wait 2 to 3 weeks after painting before applying your decal. Paint needs time to fully cure and release gases, or the adhesive won't stick properly.

  • Smooth Surfaces Work Best: Decals adhere best to flat, smooth walls. Heavily textured walls, porous brick, or unsealed wood can prevent the vinyl from sealing tightly.

  • Dealing with Hard-to-Stick Paint? Modern low-VOC or washable paints can sometimes repel adhesive. Warm the decal gently with a hair dryer on low heat while pressing down to help the glue grab.

  • Tackling Air Bubbles: Smooth out bubbles using your cloth-wrapped card working from the middle outwards. For stubborn tiny bubbles, pop them with a fine pin and press flat.

  • Mind the Temperature: Apply your decal in a warm room (at least 15°C / 60°F). Cold walls make the vinyl stiff and less sticky!

  • Very Important: Relax and take your time! There’s no need to rush—slow and steady gets the best result every time.
